Bear Naked Air was started by someone who grew up in a pre-war city bungalow and spent too many summers just waiting for fall to arrive.

Minneapolis and St. Paul are full of beautiful older houses; craftsman bungalows, foursquares, brick tudors, built with character that newer construction rarely matches. Most of them were never designed for central air, and for decades the answer was window units: noisy, inefficient, and good enough to get by. There's a better option now, and that's what we do.

We focus exclusively on ductless heat pump installation in older homes — the kind with boiler heat, plaster walls, and no ductwork. The goal is simple: help people love their summers, get real comfort out of their homes year-round, and preserve the character of the neighborhoods that make the Twin Cities worth living in.
